Fire Circle Farms LLC, DBA Uncle Tharins Datil Jelly is NOT a 501c3. We are a for profit company that has made helping people suffering from substance abuse enter into treatment part of our mission.

How do we help: We take a portion of our profits and donate them quarterly to nonprofit organizations.

What does a portion mean: We sell our Datil Jelly and Datil Glaze for $9 per jar. Our current cost to produce one jar is $3. That leaves a total of $6 profit per jar. We donate $2 per jar to nonprofit organizations. That leaves us a total of $4 profit per jar to reinvest in the company and pay us for our time.

What about shipping: We charge $8 flat rate for shipping. We know that paying for shipping is the Absolute Worst. But if we did not charge for shipping we would not be able to fulfil our mission. We do not make any profit on shipping.

How do we choose who we donate to: We have several criteria that must be met in order for a nonprofit to receive donations from Uncle Tharin’s Datil Jelly.

1) The nonprofit must help pay for people to enter into substance abuse treatment.

2) The nonprofit must have a administration cost of 10% or lower. Meaning at least 90% of the money raised goes’ to the people they serve.

3) We have to know the board members personally. Meaning the board must be willing to meet with us develop a relationship with us.
